Application & Recommendation |
|
|
|
|
Rockapon PAP-1610 can be used to prepare a broad range of commercial
emulsion polymers including acrylics, vinyl-acrylics and styrene-acrylics. Such
polymers find application in latex paints, adhesives, paper coatings and
textiles. Rockapon PAP-1610 is
typically converted to its salt form (sodium, ammonium and amine) for use in
emulsion polymerization. This is usually done in-situ by neutralization of
the diluted phosphate ester with the desired base. Films of polymers made with
Rockapon PAP-1610 exhibit enhanced corrosion resistance and superior heat and
light stability, which makes them especially desirable for metal coating
applications. The versatility of Rockapon PAP-1610-allows it to be used with
a wide range of polymerization techniques, including thermal and redox
processes. When properly used in conjunction with other anionic and nonionic surfactants, Rockapon PAP-1610 allows for the trouble-free commercial production of extremely stable emulsion polymers. |
