Rockacryl DW-45

Paint Chemicals

Binders & Alkyd Resins

Rockacryl DW-45 is a sodium salt of polyacrylic acid in aqueous solution. It can be used in emulsion paints, PVC as a wetting and/or dispersing agent. Very often it is combined with commercial polyphosphates and is applicable with all kinds of frequently used dispersion like homo- and copolymers. It will give high gloss and is very stable with glycols.

APPLICATION & RECOMMENDATION

Rockacryl DW-45 is normally added as a dispersing agent additive to the water of mill base before adding pigments and fillers and also before starting the dispersing process.
The quantity needed for an optimum dispersing process depends on the kind and the amount of the actual pigments and fillers. A general recommendation is to use 0.1-0.3%. Rockacryl DW-45.Trails must be carried out to determine any incompatibilities in case of significant overdose. A too high amount of Rockacryl DW-45 also influences the water sensitivity of emulsion paints in a negative sense.

CAUTION

Rockacryl DW-45 is cold sensitive and in storage and transportation must be kept from freezing.
